D&B Eventmarketing designed a unique onboarding experience for Sweco, Europe’s largest engineering and architectural consultancy: New@Sweco. The goal? Connecting new employees with the Sweco culture and projects. The result: an energetic and inspiring event with an average rating of 9.5.

The customers's question

How do you welcome new employees in a way that brings Sweco’s core values ​​– engaged, approachable and recognised expertise – to life? Sweco wanted an onboarding process that not only informed, but also inspired, turning employees into ambassadors.

Our proposal

D&B Eventmarketing co-created the concept New@Sweco with Sweco: a dynamic and interactive event that breathes Sweco’s DNA.
Strategic location: Eindhoven, in line with Sweco’s vision of the cities of the future.
Experience is key: An inspiring program with workshops, team building and personal introductions, aimed at strengthening connection and pride.
Goal-oriented storytelling: Sweco’s values ​​and projects were made tangible through practical experiences, with a mix of innovation and humanity.
Seamless execution: Thanks to D&B’s expertise, all 11 editions ran smoothly and impactfully.
With this concept, D&B responded to the request to bring Sweco’s vision of connection and culture to life, and to immediately immerse new employees in the Sweco family.

The events

During the two-day program, new employees were immersed in the Sweco culture. Day 1 consisted of inspiring bike tours through Eindhoven, plenary sessions and interactive workshops, focusing on Sweco’s vision and projects. In the evening, drinks and dinner at a unique location ensured relaxed connections and valuable conversations. Day 2 offered creative team building and substantive sessions that strengthened collaboration and connectedness. The program inspired, brought people together and created lasting memories that brought Sweco to life.
