Bonusan celebrated its 60th anniversary with a renewed strategy focused on three goals: healthy business, healthy planet and healthy organisation. To achieve this last goal, Bonusan wanted to put its employees first and involve them in forming a strong corporate culture. Together with D&B Eventmarketing, the Get FIT Together programme was developed to involve all employees in this transformation.
The customer's question
Bonusan faced the challenge of working together as one organization towards a healthy future, fully in line with the new strategy. The question was: how do we ensure that all employees understand, embrace and act on the desired culture? Bonusan wanted to lay the foundation for a future in which all employees feel connected to the core values and are committed to the mission of the company.
Our proposal
D&B Eventmarketing developed the concept ‘Get FIT Together’ for Bonusan, which fully responded to the need to anchor the new culture and core values in an inspiring way. Our added value lay in translating Bonusan’s vision into an interactive culture programme that not only informs employees, but also personally involves and activates them.
With ‘FIT’ as a guideline — which stands for both physical health and the core values, the ‘FITamines’ — we created a trajectory in which employees came to understand and experience the new culture in several steps. D&B provided a series of strategic touchpoints, such as a zero measurement, FIT sessions, a leadership meeting and, as a highlight, the ‘Get Together’ event, in which the Bonusan Manifesto was presented in a unique way via an 8D audio experience.
With our approach, D&B turned the culture transformation into a collective journey, in which every employee felt part of Bonusan’s mission. This created a deeper connection and a sustainable foundation for the future.
The event
During the FIT sessions, all 85 employees worked in small groups with the FITamines. They discussed the desired behavior and formulated their personal FIT goals, which together formed the big heart of Bonusan. This heart symbolized the contribution of each employee to the shared culture. During the closing Get Together event, ambassadors presented the FITamines, the manifesto was shared via a unique 8D audio experience and the employees enjoyed a healthy lunch.
The results
A baseline measurement and a follow-up measurement showed that the culture transformation was successful.
- 38% of employees indicated that they understood the culture better and acted accordingly.
- The sense of connectedness had increased by 24% and there was more collaboration.
- In addition, Bonusan grew in number of employees from 85 to 100+, and the company managed to become financially healthy again.
- The culture program and the FITamines are now firmly anchored in the organization.
