85th Anniversary
Every five years, vegetable breeding company Enza Zaden celebrates its anniversary. D&B Eventmarketing has supported several editions of these celebrations. This year, for the first time, we created an event campaign—a series of events that collectively reinforce the message. The campaign aimed to increase pride in the company, connect colleagues, and showcase the wonderful world of Enza Zaden. This was fully realized during the anniversary party, the Career Event, and the open days, all under the theme WoW: Enza Zaden’s World of Wonders.

Festival on own Grounds
Cultivating pride in your own company is best achieved with an event on your own grounds. Or even better; with three events on your own grounds! After nine months of preparation and two weeks of setup, it was time for the anniversary party for 1,000 Enza Zaden employees and their guests. Various areas were created on the 10,000 m² grass field between the greenhouses in Enkhuizen, and the musical and catering offerings were diverse. Partygoers could customize their ultimate celebration throughout the evening. The Friends of Enza live, a band formed by and for colleagues, was a surprise act, and the music from the colleague-curated Enza Top 85 was also well received. The entire venue breathed the new branding, which was internally unveiled in this manner and has now also been launched externally.
Repetition is the message
Later this year, the same grounds will host the Career Day for approximately 300 students, teachers, and professionals, followed by two Open Days with a festival atmosphere, where around 4,000 guests will get a glimpse into the wonderful world of Enza Zaden. To ensure the anniversary is celebrated internationally in the same way, we developed a toolbox from which stakeholders can easily download the appropriate communication materials. This ensures there are regular opportunities for Enza Zaden to proudly and consistently showcase its brand and anniversary.
