Entrepreneurs’ Organization

Community Building Event

With more than 16,000 members in more than 60 countries, the Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) has been a leading international entrepreneurial network for 35 years. Every year she organizes the One Level Up event for her members, to help them grow and prosper. This year it was the honor of the Netherlands to host the event. D&B Event Marketing supported the Dutch chapter in the development and organization of the program, entitled 'Free Your Mind', and took the successful entrepreneurs in Amsterdam on a journey to total freedom.

On a journey to total freedom As an entrepreneur, in addition to opportunities, you also encounter a lot of challenges. The Entrepreneurs' Organization wants to connect and inspire its members so that they can better deal with these obstacles. Within the theme 'Free Your Mind', this edition we investigated the obstacles on the way to total freedom. The three-day program took shape in a journey that started with the opposite of that freedom, from there to break through the blockages step by step. Speakers, panels and interactive sessions all contributed to this.
On a journey to total freedom in a three-day program
Overcoming blockages No freedom at all; This is what writer Joseph Oubelkas experienced when he was wrongfully imprisoned in a Moroccan prison for 1,637 days. Joost Rigter, whose vision decreased to 0.8% after the age of 26, also had to give up part of his freedom. Both made the best of it and inspired the EO participants in Felix Meritis with their story full of resilience and perseverance. On day two, neuroscientist Ayca Szapora explained how people make choices, after which theory could be put into practice in a challenging Escape Room. During various workshops, guests delved into the depths and then sailed on sloops across the canals to the Stork restaurant for a delicious dinner and a spectacular performance by an occasional formation of EO entrepreneurs. The third and final day was all about the future, with biohacker Kasper van der Meulen, futurist Rik Vera and exponential thinker Diederick Croese. Chef Noah Tucker pushed the boundaries with mind-expanding chocolates, after which the Total Freedom afterparty could start at Noorderlicht on the NDSM grounds.
content, energy and interaction as ingredients for a vibrant community
Community building with content The 180 participants, of whom approximately 70% came from abroad, were unanimously enthusiastic about the design and content of the program. More than 80% indicated that they had received useful tools and insights with which they could improve their business operations. The design was so diverse that there was something for everyone. One participant even indicated that he felt like the program was written especially for him. Do you also want to organize a community building event for your company or organization?
