Future generation speaksOf course, attention was paid to the past hundred years of aviation, but as the Netherlands is progressive, this event was mainly focused on innovation and the future. The Student Challenge initiated by the three aviation organizations resulted in interesting pitches, one of which was awarded. Former NASA intern Marc Pieters (25) also shared his vision on the future of aviation in an inspiring speech. This gave guests a fresh look at the next hundred years of aviation through the eyes of the future generation.

Anniversary with impactThe celebration of 100 years of aviation in the Netherlands - towards a sustainable future had a sophisticated balance between content, networking and celebration. After the plenary program, in which chairman Janine Abbring and the three CEOs of the celebrating aviation organizations discussed how they can make aviation more sustainable together with other stakeholders and partners, HM Willem Alexander struck an anniversary coin by turning a historic pendulum press. An anniversary stamp was also presented to the Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management, Cora van Nieuwenhuizen. The event ended with a flyby to allow the public to join in the celebration outside. An anniversary event with impact; exactly what D&B Event Marketing stands for.
